RECKITT BENCKISER DISTRIBUTION CENTER NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV DEVELOPED BY THE TRAMMELL CROW COMPANY (TCC)

652,000 sq. ft. Building Shell, and Offices designed by HPA Architecture (HPA).

Calvert Architectural Group, Inc. provided consulting services to HPA and TCC for the 61,000 sq ft. H-3 Hazardous Occupancy tenant improvement area. Services included Schematic Design, code review of Nevada standards, recommendations for the Alternative Means and Methods (AM&M), research and selection of the Nevada licensed Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) for preparing the Request For Alternative Means (RFAM) and report, and consulting and advisory services to HPA Architecture through the preparation of construction documents, plan check process, and construction phase.

Project Highlights:

Complex storage solution involving multiple Hazardous Occupancies for Reckitt Benckiser. The solution required a balance between code compliance and practical consideration of Alternative Means and Methods (AM&M) in the Hazardous Materials (HazMat) areas. AM&M was also applied in the non-Hazmat Areas which saved millions of dollars in construction which would have otherwise been required for Fire Wall compartmentalization associated with the Building Area Justification.
Working alongside HPA and being part of their project team and contributing our expertise of Hazardous Occupancies towards the delivery of this important facility for Trammell Crow and Rickett Benckiser.
